Healthcare workers are caring for patients amid the coronavirus pandemic, and CHI Haircare is making sure these heroes are taken care of as well with a frontline donation.
The Houston haircare brand recently donated 55 CHI Argan Oil Deep Moisture Kits and 55 Biosilk Aloe Vera Moisturizing Hand Sanitizers to the designated COVID-19 unit of the New York-Presbyterian Hospital at Columbia University Medical Center.
“The donation made me so emotional,” said Terry Duncan, a nurse practitioner. “This is such a scary time for us healthcare providers, and it feels amazing to be supported by such an amazing brand […].”
The donation is part of the company’s pledge to help make a difference, and support healthcare providers by offering much needed hand sanitizer and haircare essentials to help curb the spread of coronavirus.
“My hair has gotten so dry due to the need to wash it after every shift in order to prevent bringing the disease home with me,” said resident nurse Rebecca McCarten. “I was able to give myself some self-care, and do an at-home spa day […]. My hair is now on the repair!”
The haircare giant has also donated to the City of Houston, Fort Bend County, City of Tomball, among others.
