Where are my curly, wavy-haired friends today? I’m here with my hand raised too and as much as I love my curls, more often than not they are so unruly that I prefer to straighten my hair.
I’ve been straightening my hair long before flat irons were a thing. When I was younger, I used curling irons to take the curl OUT of my hair!
After years and years of heat exposure, I’m so excited to use a new tool that is not going to cause more damage to my hair.
Chi was kind enough to send me the new Chi Lava Volcanic Ceramic Hairstyling Iron to try out and I am extremely impressed! It sells for $159.99 which is a pretty average price point for high-end hair tools. This flat iron is the flat iron that will ruin all other flat irons for you and I’m it’s the newest fan. It heats up quickly, does not burn my hands and leaves my hair so very silky.
Chi is an amazing company with high standards and a commitment to excellence as well as the environment. Their innovative products are game-changers in this market!
The power of CHI Ceramic infused with volcanic lava derived from lava rocks provides gentle consistent heat during styling. This combination allows styling at lower than normal temperature producing less damage to the hair while offering smooth, shiny results.
- Volcanic lava powders offer extreme durability
- The mineral helps strengthens the hair
- Produces Ions infusing hair hydration and shine
You’ll notice it says you will not have to use as high of a heat setting to achieve the same result. This is very true. In the past, I have had to crank the heat to the max just to get through my hair. With the Chi Volcanic Lava flat iron, I can lower the heat which helps to protect my hair from damage.
Achieving this look did not take long at all. I use big clips and clip up portions of hair, leaving small sections to straighten. Because the flat iron is so effective, I did not have to go over and over the same section of hair! I think I’m going to be quite spoiled now.
I can’t sing its praises enough. If you’ve been looking for a new flat iron, I give this one two very enthusiastic thumbs up! I can’t wait to try more styles like the popular flat iron curls you’ve seen pop up in ads.
