I colored my hair last night and love the shine and softness the CHI Shine Shades imparts BUT I used the wrong shade on my 75% white hair! I used the 50-4W with 20 color generator on the top of my head (white hair) and the same color on the rest of the head using 10 color generator. The (mostly white hair) top of the head looks very bright and more of a golden blonde and the rest of the hair looks darker and not so blonde which I like. How can I fix this? Should I use the ash or beige additive? Or should I color the top with 50-4N?

how long will the semi last, especially over highlights
up to 12 shampoos. If coloring over previously highlighted hair it will more than likely fade faster.
what does 1:1:1 means?
Hi Delmy,
1:1:1 refers to your mixing ratio. 1 part CHI Color + 1 Part CHI 10 Volume Color Generator + 1 Part CHI Color Lock Treatment.
The nstructions on the bottle of shine shades says for Demi use a 1:1:1 mixture 1 color:1 10v generator:1 Color lock. But, online, everything I read says either 2 colors:10 v or 1 color: 1 10v: 1 clear gloss. The video I watched said if you do the 2:1 formulation on fine hair, it will act as a permanent color. Which set of instructions is correct? I have straight, fine hair. If I leave the 1:1:1 on for 30 minutes instead of the 15 minutes in the semi formulation does the 1:1:1 become Demi?,
Our permanent color ratio is 1 part color to 1 part generator processing for 30 minutes. Semi permanent is 1 part color, 1 part 10 volume generator, 1 part color lock treatment processing for 15 minutes. Demi permanent is 2 parts color to 1 part 10 volume generator or 1 part color, 1 part 10 volume generator, and 1 part clear processing for 30 minutes.
Can the chi 8s be used as a soap cap? If so how?
Could you please explain what you would like your outcome to be? Generally a soap cap is bleach, generator and shampoo mixture. If you are wanting to tone with an 8S you could apply on damp hair and mix equal parts of 8S and 10 volume color generator and process up to 15 minutes while watching closely.
